This book is written from the perspective of a child asking Hazrat Bilal r.a., who in this story is an old man, about his life.
The book is suggests that it’s for kids ages 7 and up. It is beautifully written and whilst a younger child will be able to understand it, an older child would appreciate it more than a preschooler. My 7 year old loved it and I enjoyed reading it too. If anyone is looking for books on the sahabahs for their kids, then I would definitely recommend this. It covers what he went through when he first became a Muslim, how the azaan came to be the call to prayer, his marriage, and so much more-all through his conversation with a young boy.
